LUCAS HAS HAD HUGE FRONT BURNER AND POWERFUL STORYLINE THIS YEAR…

Bryan: There’s a lot of pressure when they give you good stuff that’s emotional; so you want to do it justice. You want to make sure that you deserve the storyline that you’re getting. So I’ve been trying my best, studied hard and people like it.

AND HE HAS HAD SO MANY PLOTS WITH SO MANY DIFFERENT CHARACTERS.

Bryan: I always thought Lucas had the ability to jump storylines and be part of a lot of different groups; and I’ve never really had that in the past. So to have that and to be able to work with other people like Eric Martsolf. My Uncle Marty! He’s the best. We get along great in real life and have the same outlook on the business; I really like working with him. And he’s so good at what he does. When you’re in a scene with someone that drives themselves, you just watch them sometimes and you don’t feel like you have to add much to make the scene better because he is already doing his thing. I like his pace.

HOW HAS IT BEEN WORKING WITH ALISON SWEENEY (SAMI) AGAIN?

Bryan: It’s been good! That’s when we’re at our best. The interesting thing about Sami and Lucas is they love to show the mirror to each other. Look what you are now! No, look at what you’ve become! No, I’m not that person…you are! It’s fun. She’s always so good at bringing her routine to the table. Again, it’s like working with Eric where you know that the other person knows what they’re doing. So you can take risks. You can throw them. You can ad lib. Throw them an unexpected beat and they’re ready for it. They’re not going to jump on your line or say “That’s not the way you said it in rehearsal!” They’re ready for anything. It’s interesting that it has been four years…but it seems like yesterday when we worked together. It’s weird. Maybe we were brother and sister together in a former life.

IF YOU COULD PLAY ANY OTHER CHARACTER ON “DAYS” BESIDES LUCAS, WHO WOULD IT BE?

Bryan: That’s a no brainer. I would be Frankie! Because Frankie had Jennifer. And back in the day when I first watched “Days of our Lives”, Jennifer was like IT for me! I told my grandma “I’m going to marry that girl!” And she said, “No, you’re not.” And I said, “Wait, you’ll see. I’m going to marry her!” And then when I got on DAYS after the audition, she asked me “Are you going to marry Jennifer?” “No! She’s my sister! I can’t marry her now because she’s my sister!”
