WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE STORYLINE OR SCENE OF LANI AND JJ TOGETHER?

Casey: This one that we’re doing right now. We’re doing some really heavy stuff in the aftermath of the shooting; and even more on top of that just keeps coming after so it gets really heavy.

Sal: I agree with him. The storyline that we’re working on now is really great. But we did some fun stuff before. I loved our little picnic in the office. We had some cute little moments building Lani and JJ’s relationship.

Casey: The plane traveling and going to Greece.

HOW HAS IT BEEN FOR YOU, SAL, TO BE PLAYING THE DAUGHTER OF A LEGACY CHARACTER LIKE ABE CARVER?

Sal: James (Reynolds, portrayer of Abe) is just the most amazing person on the planet. His heart is so kind and he’s so gentle. I remember my first day with him. He was just incredible and one of the first pieces of advice he gave me was to always flirt. He was like no matter who it is, whoever you’re with, just always flirt. And I loved that because there’s connection, there’s chemistry. There’s something there. But I love working with him; and we just naturally have a father/daughter connection with each other which makes it very easy for us to work together.

CASEY, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT PLAYING JJ?

Casey: My favorite thing about being JJ is being able to be in these situations and positions that in real reality would make someone fall apart. But it’s interesting that I can work through these problems and I can learn from it.

Sal: You’ve developed him. You’ve turned him into a man.

Casey: But at the same time, I was turning into a man. I can navigate my way through these scenes but if it was actually happening I wouldn’t be able to have a brain like that.

CASEY, HOW WAS IT FOR YOU TO HAVE YOUR GIRLFRIEND, TRUE O’BRIEN, RETURN FOR A CAMEO AS “PAIGE” ON THE HALLOWEEN EPISODE?

Casey: It was so much fun. Actually, I didn’t know it at first. I asked her, “Are you back on the show?” This is a Halloween episode? I had no idea what was going on. It was a blast.

Sal: Lani was threatened a little bit; but True is great. She is such a pleasure to work with.

THE HALLOWEEN EPISODE WAS A FUN EPISODE THAT WAS A CHANGE OF PACE.

Casey: Being an actor, that’s a blast. There’s no rules here? It’s a dream? Oh, we can really do something with that!

SAL, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT PLAYING LANI?

Sal: I love how Lani stands up for herself. She’s had a lot to prove coming into Salem and working with the Salem PD. She never backs down. She always just goes for what she wants.
